Granny's Flower Garden quilt by Edi's Quilts
On a traditional Grandmother’s Flower Garden quilt, each hexagon “petal” is usually 1 inch. This modern version has 4 ½ inch petals in bright colors irregularly placed between black & white print background hexagons. A six-petaled flower is quilted into the center of each flower. Other quilting quietly follows seam lines. A black binding completes the piece. The back is two panels of a predominately maroon striped fabric, with a strip of solid maroon down the center. The quilt is 47.5 inches by 64 inches. The batting is a very stable 80/20 cotton/poly blend. Washable on delicate cycle, tumble dry.
This quilt would be great to curl up with in your easy chair, or drape over the sofa for a color accent, or to keep in the car as a travel blanket. An unobtrusive hanging sleeve is attached to the back for easy mounting on a wall, and it can also become a table topper.
