PATIE SAVAGE
PAINTING, SCULPTURE AND FUSED GLASS
As daughter of an artist, George Nagel, Patie Savage grew up in a home dedicated to the creation of art as sculpture, jewelry, painted works and even cartoons. Patie attended art classes in college but as a young mother, was busy with the lives and needs of her family and their small cattle ranch in Central Washington. As ranch life receded to a fond memory and her children grown, Patie refocused on her art. With the guided training from paint master Leonard Wren and ceramic artist Nancy Bingham, Patie found her own expression of beauty and whimsy in the art world.
As to elephants, no one knows quite where or when they captured Patie's imagination, but captured they did. They can be found in all forms, on the wall above a ballet bar in a painting, in parade in fused glass, or in ceramic form adorned with stones and jewelry.
Patie's impressionist paintings, fused glass and creative clay pieces are available at Chimera Gallery in Lopez Island Village.
