Martha has loved art and art projects her whole life. She retired in 2020 and is spending more time painting, exploring a variety of mediums. She is currently doing a lot of multimedia pieces and for the first time doing some printmaking. Life sparks an idea and it translates into a concept that works in a specific medium in her mind. Many of her works are inspired by the natural beauty of Lopez, others are fanciful. Martha’s parents moved to Lopez Island in 1989, their house is now hers.
