Images found in nature are the key inspiration for the textures found in Leslie’s ceramic work.  Long before creating her first ceramic piece as Dragonfly Studios, she was photographing animal prints in snow, leaf impressions in mud, and ancient petroglyphs.  Combining various textures in clay came naturally, resulting in what could be described as a functional ceramic quilt.  Special requests from customers challenged her to further experiment with colors and textures resulting in wonderful surprises.
Saturdays during the Summer months you’ll find her at the Lopez Island Farmers Market.
