Arabesque table runner by Edi’s Quilts
A long and colorful table runner. I had a small piece of fabric with a very colorful and intricate design, too beautiful to cut up much. Three squares of this design are flanked by smaller end panels in which I “fussy cut” the central design and appliqued it to a bright gold that also borders the three central squares. A solid green that also picks up colors from the design finishes the piece. The corners are truncated (or is it more accurate to say the ends are truncated triangles). Quilting parallels the seams in the green and gold areas and meanders through the patterned squares. The back is a print of irregular dots in gold, purple and orange on a darker purple ground. The batting is a very stable 80/20 cotton/poly blend. The piece measures 13” by 48 ½”. Washable on delicate cycle, tumble dry.
