About the Artist: LYDIA LUKAHNOVICH
Lydia has been a potter since 1968. In 1999, she moved to Lopez not only because she loved the island but also because of the artistic environment in which she felt she could continue her pottery business.

Much of her inspiration comes from observing the natural world, and she makes porcelain pots in shades of blue, brown, and green with designs that remind one of the oceans, landscapes, agates or leaves. Other pieces are more abstract. Lydia likes to make beautiful functional pottery that can be enjoyed in everyday living, and non- functional Raku pieces that can be appreciated for their beauty alone. She can be contacted at lydia686@centurytel.net.
